A graduate of the Televisa acting school, Maite was chosen in 2008 to star in Cuidado con el angel (Be Careful with the Angel) alongside William Levy, a ratings success in Mexico as well as in the U.S.

Her third leading role came in Triunfo del amor (Triumph of Love), in which she once again starred opposite Levy, and sung the televonoela’s hit, “A partir de hoy” (Starting Today), in a duet with Marco DiMauro.

Maite has acted in a full-length feature, El arribo de Conrado Sierra (The Arrival of Conrado Sierra). She has been named one of People en Español’s 50 Most Beautiful People several times, and one of the 25 Most Powerful Latinas.

She wanted to study Veterinary Medicine, Medicine or Dentistry, but finally chose Advertising, though she never finished her studies because she was chosen to play Dalina in the popular children’s show Nubeluz.

Gaby then studied acting for two years and was featured in two telenovelas aimed at teenagers, A todo corazón (All Heart) and Así es la vida (That’s Life). Then she moved to Miami, where she starred in Enamorada (In Love), a role that won her the award for best female lead from the New York Latino Entertainment Writers Association. She has also taken part in the soap operas Las González, Rebeca, Luna la heredera (Luna, the Heiress), Mundo de fieras (World of Beasts), and Sin vergüenza (No Shame), and starred in Más sabe el Diablo (The Devil Knows More).

On the big screen, she has been featured in the movies La mujer de mi hermano (My Brother’s Wife) and Elipsis (Ellipsis), one of the highest-grossing films in Venezuela’s history.

Gaby has graced the covers of more than 45 magazines; starred in the music videos of artists such as Luis Fonsi; hosted such shows as Lo último (The Latest; Sony Entertainment Television Latinoamerica), and was one of People en Español’s 50 most beautiful people of 2010. That same year she launched her own interactive calendar on her website.
